モセスレーイクパークの漢字

So a couple weeks ago I happen to be on a trip out in Washington state. My family out there took us out to a Japanese park. Pretty cool little place.

There was so many footprints on the rock garden, I was like “what are you guys doing???” X_X

Can somebody give the readings to the bottom Kanji?..

庭園 - (ていえん)

(I guess you also mean モーゼスレイクパーク not モセスレーイクパーク)

Hey! I’m not a native Japanese speaker, but my boyfriend is. The bottom two kanji is 庭園 (ていえん) which means garden, so altogether the translation is “Japanese garden”.

Thank you!

aah gotocha. I read lake out loud, and heard the ”い”sound extended and so I thought it would come out as “レイー”

ありがとう!ございます

I’m guessing it is a compound?

According to my boyfriend, yes. A 日本庭園 is specifically a japanese-style garden (e.g: the gardens you see inside temples). Conversely there can be foreign 庭園 which are gardens that focus on that particular culture.
