It seems like circumstances are pointing more and more to the suspects not actually being involved in the murders - but then, why are they all at the hotel? Are they having a sort of ‘commiseration group meeting’, and one of that group is the killer? Are they acting as a shield, a distraction (knowingly or not), like we had in the last book? Are they involved after all?
It seems obvious that the 派手な女性 would be the rich lady who killed her ex, that would make her the target. Provided the police’s theory is correct. That attorney lady also still seems sus…
Not a story comment but a language comment, chapter 22 was a very zen chapter, I saw each of those within a few chapters: 未然, 俄然, 毅然 and 当然! And then (zen xD) 自然, 同然, 突然 and 依然 in the next chapter (I can’t unsee them now :x haven’t spotted 全然 yet though)
Sounds like Fleur de Lune is going to be trouble! Could make for a very chaotic ending, with no-one that’s on the same side (新田 / 梓 / 葉月) working together.
Wouldn’t make sense that the girl that (maybe) killed 大畑’s son is tonight’s target, as the prime suspects are on the location. Sure, they are using a fake name, but for all the other murders, the prime suspects had all made sure to have a perfect alibi.
