Rude, Miyamura. Your girlfriend shows off her new(ish) heels, and you call her a cheap hooker.
Page 16, took me too long to work out that ドライヤー is the hair dryer. I was rather confused as to how Hori could possibly have lost track of the clothes dryer…
This chapter, despite being rather good, reminds me how many plotlines were underdeveloped. With some that were almost entirely skippable (looking at you Tanihara, and many others) and others I would like to read more a lot, like Remi x Sengoku.
Beats me! I thought I’ve seen someone familiar with Hori asking something of her, but I think that was chapter 3. Skimmed through the panels. Found add ins in chapters 3, 10, 15, 51-53 (sports festival), 86, 96, 102, 111, 112, 116 and not a single one looked like her. Also of course there are a few more like Sawada’s classmates and I guess Tanihara ruffians.
I have noticed some faceless-background characters were consistent. Also the author seems to be decently good at drawing them and not introducing too many. The school never seemed empty, but most panels it is just the main cast.
I am also thinking who is the girl that is with Sakura? I understand that in this timeline Sakura x Remi x Sengoku book club did not happen. But on page 44 there is Remi with long hair (I think it is an alternate timeline already, or is there some invisible smooth transition?) and she had long hair since forever. It makes only sense that it is Remi, but why short hair? Does not look like Remi to me.
My memory is failing so hard but is the middle Yoshikawa x Ishikawa timeline change panel a clue on how did they got to know each other or did it happen in the main story and I just do not remember?
Well, I’d just about managed to erase Tanihara from my memory. And also Miyamura’s relationship with Shindo still just feels off.
The artist. Author is a different person.
It’s definitely Remi with short hair. That’s someone else on page 44 - one of Hori’s classmates, and Remi’s in a different class. Also, Remi has twin tails that stick out from the sides of her head, while this girl’s hair is hanging loose at the back. I figure that without Miyamura there to resolve the situation way back in chapter 7, Remi’s false accusation of Hori irreperably damaged her relationship with Sengoku, because I don’t really see any other way he particularly influenced them.
I dunno. I always got the impression they were childhood friends, but I could just be inventing that. In the Sacred Timeline, Tooru was one of the first people Miyamura started getting close to, and with Yuki being Hori’s best friend, it’s fairly natural that Toori and Yuki would interact as a result, but surely that’s not the only way they would have interacted.
Ohhh, that makes so much more sense now. This girl still looks just like Remi to me. Or at least much more than short-hair-Remi does. Also, that is the first sighting of this classmate too.
To me it is still looks more like Miyamura thinking more what if due to several different happenings this group of friends did not form at all rather than what if he did not meet Hori due to first chapter and stayed strangers. I think that makes much more sense considering panels at p.41 and fact, that by the start of the manga Remi and Sengoku were very familiar already. And in chapter 121 timeline they act like if they were almost strangers.
I have noticed that now happenings in very early chapters are almost crystal clear knowing who is who and what their relationship is. Maybe I’ll even remember everyone’s names by the end… of… huh… I guess I am fine knowing most character names by now.
