It’s a pretty common thing as we reach the end that the engagement drops quite a bit as people have fewer questions.
We did have quite a few people drop the book, but no more than we usually see, really.
In fact, that I still see roughly 20-24 people over the past few weeks marking in the polls that they are reading/have read with the club is actually just a little more people than I’m used to seeing (generally see it down in the 9-13 range).
But yeah, interactions within the club tend to go down over time, especially if it’s a slice-of-life where there aren’t as many “big” plot points to discuss.
For those who didn’t really want to read the text, a very quick and not 1:1 summary:
It’s basically just Hori reporting back to Yuki about Miyamura’s condition, saying he has a fever but should be okay, that Tohru also came and visited, and that Miyamura should be able to return to school before too long, though it may not be the next day.
I’m a bit late to the party, being behind again, but I could use some help with the second panel of p.141.
p.141
Tōru and Miyamuri are talking about the way he sees himself. In the first panel, Tōru lets him know that his class mates are saying that he’s been brightening up. Miyamura has a strong reaction, saying that he doesn’t want to stand out (目立ちたくねぇ, an abbreviated form of 目立ちたくない, I think).
Tōru’s response is giving me trouble:
もういいだろっ
全て晒けだしちゃえば
刺青とかっ
The first part is something like “It’s fine”. Then:
全て - everything, entirely
晒 - 晒す, to expose, to doxx. But what’s up with the けだ?
しちゃえば - conditional form + completion
刺青とかっ - such as your tattoos
That translates to “It’s fine. If you’re exposed… (about the tattoos and such)”.
Is that right? Typing it out like this I’m reasonable confident in the translation, it’s mostly the 晒けだ that trips me up.
