I haven’t forgotten about volume four. Just need to buy the volume and get the thread up later this weekend when I have a chance!
(So many book clubs started a new volume this weekend!)

Yep! I wouldn’t mind a break if it’s easier for you, gives time for me to finish another volume off!

Things got busier than I expected! All right, everyone who’s started volume 4, I’ll see if I can get that volume thread up this upcoming weekend.
Those who are asking themselves why they’re in so many book clubs and still joining more as so many new volumes dropped this past weekend, you have a one week break!

Volume 1 thread seems to just link to the original club, which is now on a different book, so I’ll just mention here that I just finished volume 1
I’m trying to catch up by the time the club is done with volume 11. How’s that going to work with my baby Japanese? Three words: “tolerance”, “of”, and “ambiguity”

I mean, the sky is the limit! It honestly doesn’t get much harder, so I believe you can do it!

tbh i find the return on investment from sticking with a series is really high. you get a lot of familiarity with the characters and their modes of speaking, usually the vocab stays within a certain bounds, you get used to the author’s style of storytelling/panelling… and of course you get to follow a story you like!
