Finally a free weekend ahead of me, will be catching up as far as I can. (Finland won gold in ice hockey two weeks ago and last weekend I was watching Swanlake at the Estonian National Opera).
I love what I see… there is a Fire Emblem: Three Houses style initial setup, but you can kind of immediately tell that Takahashi is up to his usual shenanigans once again. アニマ, 器士… the nod to Babel Tower could not be more clear.
Edit, speculation but likely also a spoiler:
The protagonist is called エレノア and deuteragonist is ケイイン. Takahashi just straight up making missing episodes outlined in Xenogears Perfect Works here.
Wong Kei-ying is literally the father of Wong Fei-hung.
Yes… a 40 minute video linking the 2 minute 42 second trailer to Xenogears… LOL. I love this community. (Full of spoilers & Perfect Works references!)
Edit: another 1 hour 45 minute analysis of the trailer… there really isn’t enough in the trailer to justify this, but I appreciate folks going wild with their theories.
