Gameplay

Gameplay notes
  • You can get a second Wizardry Ring/ウィザードリング in the first dungeon—when equip, this helps to learn DBs faster. Pretty sure it only works on foot though.
  • This is also a good time to upgrade your gears.
  • If you are having trouble with the quartet, start with Seraphita and knock them out until only Dominia is left. They also have elemental weaknesses Tolone/Earth, Dominia/Wind, Kelvena/Fire, Seraphita/Water and heal with the opposite element. Mind your ether attacks, DBs, and if using, Billy’s bullets for elements
  • Don’t sell the Kishin Sword you get as a drop

This week felt so, so short. Checked the word count you posted in the main thread and sure enough, it’s the second lowest character count we’ve had!

I didn’t notice last week but this week while buying new parts, you can tell how much thicker the ヴェルトール has gotten, good grief :eyes:

I got lucky with the first password puzzle this week by immediately noticing the little lights in the cabinet by the console. Possibily I subconsiously remembered the clue? but I got it first try. I don’t know if Fei always does the little laugh after getting this puzzle right, but in this case he deserved to do it. Second one took more tries though :stuck_out_tongue:

The whole conversation in the hallway is a bit silly with how long they spend standing around and talking philosophy. And then the 4 elements women just sort of walk off to their gears, haha. It’s lacking a little in urgency but given Elly’s speech at the end, maybe it’s appropriate.

Another sequence of robots transforming into one bigger robot! I feel like a lot of love went into this. The lion doing a roar at the end was cute.

You get kinda mad at Ramsas with how he treats the elements women but the scene later where he’s clearly being manipulated into self-destructive behavior by powerful people he trusts… oof. Also, I didn’t catch a screenshot but baby Ramsas in the tube sure looks a lot like a lil’ dragon.

What I did catch a screenshot of: Elly’s old Solaris team is back suddenly! Where have they been?? Not that she needs the help, saving herself from giant robots with her mind and all.

Felt shorter indeed! Took me just around an hour to play it. (though that’s more for the gameplay, I haven’t tried super hard to understand the dialogs so I’m missing a lot, but will watch the English playthrough before starting next week)

Yeah that was fun!

I’m liking this “end game” part. Like, we’ve already run around the world already by several means of transport and seems like we’ve seen it all. It’s an interesting change to have the characters sit on a chair while going in story mode, and then just starting again at a new location.

lights

It’s based on which lights are off/broken top to bottom, 0-3-2-0. Going by number of lights on you could also see it as 3-2-2-3, but I thought the open cabinets being in different spots was probably significant. Kind of a weak clue, to be fair. At first I thought I’d missed something before the room and was grasping at straws :sweat_smile:

It’s definitely different! Part of me wonders what could have been if the devs had more development time, and another part of me says no, this game would be double the playtime it already has if they did!

Yeah I feel like it’s a bit hard to know if you’re missing something or if you’re looking at the wrong place sometimes in this game! But thanks for the explanation, not approving, but I can see it now ^^
