I feel like I’ve said this a lot, but what a cliffhanger again!

A thunderstorm is brewing at the start of the chapter, which seems to be a sure sign that some sort of big confrontation is gonna happen soon!
He returned to fight with JoJo, because he can’t stand the idea of running away from him even though he’s cornered.
So much tension! JoJo seems a lot more composed and sure of having the upper hand, although he feels regretful about turning Dio in to the police. And Dio seems extremely anxious.
First he requests that JoJo let him turn himself in, saying that he feels so bad about how he’s lived his life up until now. Then later he requests that JoJo is the one to personally handcuff him.
Unfortunately he seems to believe some people are just born bad (giving more weight to nature).
Extremely sad. Even after hearing everything, he still calls Dio his son and says he doesn’t want to see his son being arrested. It’s unfortunate that he dies even though JoJo just saved him from the poison.
Did I miss where this guy’s name was given? He predicts that Dio will not be captured, and that he was born with very strong luck. (Which seems to be correct)
That humans have limits, and that he will surpass being human!
Hmm I guess he was less so much expecting a fistfight, and moreso planning to transform into a vampire while JoJo is caught off guard so that he can immediately annihilate him?
If you look at page 53 (tanko) or 250ish (bunko), on the page where we can see that Dio is carrying the mask, at the bottom of that page, Dio’s pissed that JoJo didn’t get killed on Ogre Street. The best outcome for Dio would have been for the thugs on Orge Street to kill JoJo before he found the poison seller and then Dio could continue killing George since no one else suspected him of poison. The stone mask is more of a plan B.

Wow, last chapter (11) ended in such a cliffhanger, looking forward to starting the next one this weekend. quite sure I know what George’s fate will be, but it’s sad… at least he was able to protect his son

It’s fascinating with the cliffhangers, isn’t it? Now you all get to enjoy the suspense that many of the teen readers had when they read as it came out! You can more easily bond with men (and women) of a certain age in Japan lol. A pretty high percent of Japanese youth read Weekly Shonen Jump back then iirc
