Chapter 231

The characters have been through some pretty messed up stuff, but I feel like death was relatively rare up until now. But in this chapter, body parts were flying. It really makes it feel like things are popping off.

I can’t believe Gilbert got chopped up like that! No dramatic death scene, no final words, just slice slice slice. And of course, martial arts girl was even more abrupt, although I feel like she was introduced somewhat later, so I didn’t feel it as much.

Of course, Christopher and his lackey shuffled away as soon as things turned sour.

The document King signed was definitely for the train that’s going to bring back Edward and his crew.

With the information about the “copies”, it seems the rumors of his death have been greatly exaggerated. It still feel all of these Christopher plans are advancing at ridiculously fast pace - I was under the impression that raising these new copy shadows from Mofus would have taken months at the very least.

Chapter 232

Yup, with the info about the copies we got in this chapter, presumably the originals are still alive. But the fact that the copies are also their own living creatures means it’s still pretty horrifying! Anthony is basically creating an army to feed into a meat grinder.

I feel like it was explained earlier that shadows are also influenced by the individual personalities and traits of the morphs they came from, in addition to the human they copied. So, it’s a bit weird to see that copies of a shadow end up having the exact same abilities. But maybe this is a case where it’s a mistake to think too hard about it.

Chapter 233

So the seeds are being sown for an alliance between Edward’s group and the kids. It’s funny in his letter, he says Christopher is the true enemy. But Kate wants to take back Shadow House too! He doesn’t need to know that part though :slightly_smiling_face:
