I laughed out loud at the panel at the bottom of pg 118. しゃべれ！xD I felt like this chapter was a bit tougher to follow than usual. Partially because it’s adult-centric, but the conversation seemed to bounce around a lot more than usual, too. Scenes where people are just sitting around talking/catching up are always hard for me to follow (probably because there’s no context…sometimes I think my Japanese “knowledge” is just 90% picking up on context and visual cues 🙃). > [@Belthazar](#): > > “How are the last flowers you bought from me?” > “Still going strong. Trying to read too fast, I guess xD ---

I mean, it’s fair to get confused if they start talking about something else, or just assume you know what they’re talking about, since that’s how conversations work in real life. You don’t go, “Hey, remember how the thing we talked about before is X? So, regarding X, now Y.” Instead it’s, “前に言ってたこと, now Y.” Or even that is implied, and it’s, “Hey, Y.” ---

That was a fair bit easier. Reckon the funniest bit is Fuuka on page 152. So, I’ve had that caramel corn stuff. It’s… not bad, but I’d hardly call it the best thing she had in her collection. ---

Much easier than last week! I got caught up while I was away on vacation, and got to 62 without thinking, oh well 😛 The highlights for me were Yotsuba failing yet again with the coffee (I knew it was coming and it was hilarious nonetheless), the house tour and subsequent house cleaning. Fuuka just cant catch a break uh… ---

When I was growing up, we’d always see hot air balloons flying around on weekend mornings ^^ Once, one landed in the field near our church on a Sunday, and we all went out to watch it xD I don’t think we ever went to go see them take off, though. ---

That was a nice chapter. There’s a few words there I had to look up. I wanna ride a balloon… So, page 190, I get that もらおう is wrong (should be もらえる, I’d say) but my brain can’t seem to work out the actual translation of it. “Shall Yotsuba recieve a bite of yakisoba?”? Not sure I buy Juralumin landing on her feet. Landing feet-first, sure, but then staying upright after? I’ve seen イもスティック being sold at matsuri. Incongrously, the ones we bought at the Fushimi Inari Shinko-sai were covered in a thick layer of sugar… Interesting that the 竹とんぼ are being sold as ブーメラン竹とんぼ. Surely 竹とんぼ were a thing in Japan long before they’d ever heard of boomerangs. Or do they not typically return to the thrower? Heh. 飴の雨だよ.
