I just got the PSP version up and running on my steam deck. Let’s see if I have enough time and interest to actually play it ![]()
Oh, fun! I did try to play this awhile back but was intimidated by the vocab + the auto-advancing text. I’ve probably improved a bit since I last tried, and I’ve since played a few of the Bokunatsu games/offshoots that were fan translated/officially localized. Would love to join you.
Ordered the PSP version from 駿河屋 with their ongoing bulk purchase sale for games… based on previous packages it will take anything between 2 to 10 weeks for it to get through the local post & customs, but we’ll see! I’ll be following the thread in the meantime.
Happy to have you all!
It’s happening:
My only issue with Tim Rogers is that he covers too many games I want to play so I can’t watch most of his videos
Defeated by impeccable taste
What luck! Because I am struuuuugggling with the language in this one. I thought it was interesting that Boku describes himself as 居候 in his journal on Day 1; is he being cheeky or is there a non-negative read to that (homestay/boarder)?
Looking at Japanese definitions of the word paints a much more neutral picture to me
For example:
The dictionary I have on my phone also lists it as simply
人の家に住んで食べさせてもらうこと
It is the same word that is used often in Blue Box (アオノハコ) to describe Kano Chinatsu staying with the Inomata’s.
Just a heads up, maybe I’ll manage to post the thread tomorrow not sure yet, but I’ve been extremely sick the last couple days so I might be late.
Oh no! No worries, I hope you feel less terrible soon!! ![]()
Thank you. I’ve had gerd for a lot of my life but as just a fairly minor inconvenience. Suddenly had the worst flare up of my life that i believe has caused some damage to my esophagus. I’ve got a lot of problems at once, but above all I’m lying in bed really nauseous typing this from my phone so… I’ll get it posted eventually ![]()
In spite of going through 3 days of hell (so far!), the thread is here.
I am at least better off than I was when I made that last post, and I’m back with a new thread.
Halfway already!
