I’d quite like to visit one of those festivals, but oof, crowds.
Actually, my phone reminded me this morning that today has been precisely one year since I attended the Kawagoe Matsuri. That was pretty crowded, but I managed to avoid the worst of it by being invited to pull one of the floats.
Not at all, thank you so much for doing so! I haven’t been able to make time for WK or the forums the past month or so, and have dropped behind all my book clubs, but I’ll try and claw my way back!
p147, ch42 – Any idea why they sometimes type words such as でかい (big) as デカい? The first two kana are katakana, but the last one is hiragana?? Seems like a strange convention to follow, and I don’t see a reason to, at least nothing obvious.
