I totally thought Agatto was going to say “we won’t let them make you use forbidden magic … because I’M going to do it!!!” … But then she said “make the right choice” and now I’m disappointed. Curious to see what actually happens in the next chapter though.

Well I hope the team has good improv skills because it’s going to be difficult to come up with a convincing story to cover up all that happened on the snake path… Including a full missing 弟子!
When they started the second trial arc I expected that it would last a couple of chapters like the first one but we’ve been at it for two full volumes! It was good but I’m happy to see a change of scenery.
Yuini calling himself hopeless and useless is genuinely heartbreaking… Poor guy can’t catch a break. He seems to have finally found some emotional support at least. Being able to turn into a wolf at will is pretty metal too.
Yeah that’s cool, I was wondering if he would use the possibility to turn it on and off, happy that he does.
Not sure I caught what happens at the end, are the scales hurting him and one of the girl removes them for him and it rains scales on them? Was funny to see that the art from the beginning of the chapter shows that, and not petals of flowers like I assumed at first.
I think it’s the other way around, Richeh wants to pet him 
but the hard, sharp scales hurt her so he shakes them off.
