1st Half: Aw Grizzly, poor baby, thinking Shirokuma died. I love Shirokuma’s dramatic story of Grizzly helping helping the Fox restaurant owner.
2nd Half: This normie guy who finishes everything he orders is boring…

Watched episode 31 last night, which means I’ve finally managed to catch up!
Past the halfway point now, it’s one of those shows were I don’t want there to be an end.
I’ve been updating the animal kanji list, and I think Capybara is my favourite kanji so far: 鬼天竺鼠

This is a Christmas episode so lots of fun about Christmas. Penguin-san wants to have a real Christmas party but everyone is playing coy.

Panda being unable to tell penguins apart cracks me up. I feel like it also implies that he can’t read lol. The baby penguins are always cute.
As a faceblind person, I have some sympathy for Penguin not being able to tell the Penkos apart, but I can at least tell people apart when I see them side by side lol.
The Penkos need to dump Penguin or stop messing with him…

I’m going to use the first half of this episode as proof that 可愛そう doesn’t have to mean only “pitiful,” but can also mean cute. Quite possibly a certain kind of cute, but clearly not just “sad/pitiful.”
