yeah I’m bummed, normally I forget spoilers, but not while I’m reading something, grrr. Ah well, I should know better than to read reviews for a sequel before I’ve finished its predecessor

I dropped off mainly because I was getting frustrated with having to jump around the bis version to follow along… I’ll have to catch up eventually as well.

Just an idea - I’m finding now that we’re so far in it’s fast enough to read, I’ll read in order and slightly ahead to keep abreast of the latest club chapter and just comment on them as the club reads them. The art and most episodes are fun enough to scan through or read again to refresh my memory for commenting.

I’m super far behind. I had to put Volume 1 down for a few months. I powered through the book’s second half yesterday and am ready to start going through volume 2. Are there no vocab sheets for the remaining volumes? I scrolled through the posts of the past few months and didn’t see any. The vocab sheet from volume 1 was pretty helpful.

Welcome to the forums barrym07! It’s good to have you here and glad you enjoyed volume one.
I finished this book late when the original group read volume one back in 2019. The vocab list for the last few weeks chapters was empty and I filled it in as I was reading. I’m glad someone is still finding it useful five years down the line!
Unfortunately no-one has created a volume two spreadsheet, but hopefully by the end of volume one you’ll be used to the style and hopefully the look ups don’t spoil the experience too much.

The break I took allowed me to study more and when I came back I understood a lot more without looking things up. I haven’t started the second book but I might try to keep a log of my lookups.

This won’t be quite the same, but try this (bis volume 2):
The hard part is the page numbers may not line up (so you may need to offset them a bit), and this is for the bis version (making it more difficult if you’re reading the original).
