Yeah, invasive species in Australia (even more than elsewhere) are a huge threat to native wildlife. I didn’t realize it was invasive at the time. I wish there was another way to deal with such animals, but I get it.

Even going into story 13 knowing ガムちゃん’s identity, it was still difficult not to picture him as a cat, at least until the bit about when the two of them are little.
