My community-mate Rea saw this in a dentists office, and asked me what it is. I’m baffled! Can anybody recognize the first 漢字? 月? 耳? 且? 目? What does it mean?

As you can tell by Leebo’s answer, it’s one kanji, written weird. There is slightly more space between the two elements than normal, but the left bottom part still has that upward stroke it needs to have.
