It’s not unheard of for kids to try attending school early, examples being Kakashi and Itachi becoming jounin before most other kids were even genin. Also, kinda giving Kishimoto the benefit of the doubt here because he was still figuring out the details as he was writing

Haha that’s an amazing way to get hooked! Mine is a lil bit more cringier. I remember my older brother watching it and I got some glimpses here and there. But what actually made me watch it for real was that I got hooked on a Naruto AMV to «In The End - Linking park»

- Bookwalker (often has free to read)
This site specifically shows where to buy digital copies of JoJo, but some of the 45+ online retailers listed when you scroll down probably have free chapters or volumes of Naruto
Nice, thanks! Looks like all of these are Japan-only except for BookWalker, but the BW deals can be really excellent every now and then so I will remember to recommend it more often. I’ll put the other options in the top post just in case another Japan resident is interested
It’s not like vpns are illegal in most countries. I know jump plus isn’t limited to Japan either though
