I found a loupe (from West Germany??) at work a while ago, and I finally brought it home to help with tiny furigana 
it does a better job than the phone camera can show, though.

Maaaaaan this book is so beautiful. When i dont see shirahama’s art for a while, i think that maybe i overestimate it in my mind, but whenever i see it again it’s like oh yeah this is some of the most beautiful comics work ever. Excited to work my way through this series in japanese !

I stepped away from WHA for a while because I thought it was too difficult for me to realistically read. After a couple of years I got around to reading Frieren Vol. 1 and started JJK volume 1. Then when I came back to start reading WHA the other week, I was just blown away by how beautiful it was.
Frieren is probably my favourite story so far (having seen all of the anime) and I really enjoyed reading Vol. 1. But as much as I love it, the art of Witch Hat Atelier absolutely blows me away and feels like it’s on a totally other level. The further I get through this, I could see it surpassing Frieren for me as my favourite…

Yeah, I’ve had some volumes of WHA for awhile but was wary of trying to actually read them. Your posts in the challenge thread tempted me though so here we are There is really nothing else like WHA’s art going right now. I feel like it’s so unique in comics and it must take FOREVER to do! I’ve read in english up through v12 and it only gets more interesting…!
