I can’t believe this is happening already. Not sure what I’m getting myself into but looking forward to it. :alien: :ghost:

Am I “reading along” if I sort of kind of half read the first week’s section already?

You haven’t finished it yet so still reading along I’d say.

I also read the prologue ahead of time.

I fully read the section, but without much dictionary use or analysis done. So my comprehension was mediocre.

The best kind of comprehension

I was taken by surprise, this is already happening?

I thought the long sentences might stop after the prologue. I was wrong.

You were so, so wrong.

Sometimes there’s dialogue
That’s pretty short

How often is “sometimes”?

Hehehehheeh
When Kyon and Haruhi actually start talking, pages turn at a pretty good clip, because of how short the lines can be. Similarly when Kyon’s classmates start talking to him about her.

Yup, there are lots of long sentences. But it looks like we’re reading less in a week than with Kino, and the content itself looks like it’ll be more interesting.

It’s a mixed bag. There are still several weeks where the reading is over 15 pages.

I guess we wouldn’t finish the book otherwise…

Yes, that’s true. And it’s still going to take 20 weeks…

I remember Kyon’s long rambling narration from the anime but daaaaang.

That beautiful long narration, oh yes

Fixed it for you.

sits alone in the corner with a pile of long narration, colloquial language, and gun descriptions
